School Attendance Reminder

Students are reminded that school attendance is required by law and documentation must be submitted to the attendance office to excuse absences for unavoidable circumstances. Documentation should be submitted within three days of the absence. A student with an unexcused absence is considered truant. Additionally, all A-TECH students sign a magnet contract which specifies that any student with five or more unexcused absences per semester will be placed on magnet probation. Any student with five or more unexcused absences will be placed on magnet probation at semester. Ninth through eleventh grade students who are placed on probation for absences or tardies will have one semester to improve attendance and can potentially lose magnet status due to attendance violations. Seniors will have one quarter to improve attendance and will lose the ability to participate in all activities if attendance does not adequately improve. If you have not submitted documentation to the attendance office for absences due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances, please do so promptly to avoid being placed on probation.
