CSN Jumpstart English 101 – Juniors – IMPORTANT

Juniors: If you are enrolled to take the CSN Jumpstart English 101 course for the next school year, we have just been notified that CSN has increase their technology fee of $1.00 per credit. Your new fee is $69.50. If you have already paid, you’ll only need to pay the difference of $3.00. Please remember to pay by June 2. Please see Mrs. Nyznyk in the counseling office if you have any questions or concerns.

Student Body Officer and Class Officer Elections

It is the time of year to elect your new Student Body Officers and Class Officers.

If you are interested in running for an elected Student Body Office, an elected Class Office, or an appointed Student Senate position, applications are available in three places:

1. All current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students have been sent an email to their @nv.ccsd.net account with the applications attached.
2. Paper copies of the applications are also available from Ms. Vallari in Room 701.
3. PDF copies are available by following the link at the school website.

Complete applications should be submitted to Ms. Vallari in Room 701 no later than Friday, may 19, 2017 at 2:00 pm.

Campus Club Uniforms Summer/Season Positions

Campus Club Uniforms is currently accepting applications for summer/season positions. Applicant must be 16 years old, positive and motivated, works well with others and have reliable transportation. Submit application in person by 6/2/17. Applications available in SAC or from Mrs. McPheters.

Students Enrolled in English 101 Next Year

If you are a junior enrolled in the CSN – Eng 101 course for the next school year, please make sure you forward the email you received from CSN that includes your NSHE # as soon as possible to either Mrs. Moore or Mrs. Nyznyk. Also, if you haven’t submitted your copy of your ACT scores to the counseling office, do that as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Nyznyk in the counseling office. Don’t forget that your payment of $66.50 for 1st semester is due to the banker by Friday, June 2.

Our FBLA Chapter had a great state tournament at Harrah’s Las Vegas this year. We placed top 4 in 13 events and won 2. One of our members was also elected to state office – Congratulations Aaron Cheng!
