A-TECH dance team “DIVERSITY” will be practicing on Tuesday and Thursday after school in the gym.

BSU Meeting

Black Student Union (BSU) will meet in room 902 every other Thursday after school. Next meeting will be on September 28, 2017.

American Red Cross Club Meeting

Good morning fellow Mavericks! American Red Cross Club will be meeting at Mrs. Firestone’s room 406 on September 25th Monday after school! It’ll be a short introduction meeting that’ll be over before the buses arrive. Please attend and find out how you can help out the victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma!

Raising Canes for Lunch

Raising Canes will be sold Friday 9/22 during both lunches on a first come first serve basis. If you pre-paid for Canes your lunch will be placed aside for pick-up.

FBLA Meeting

Learn to be the Boss in Future Business Leaders of America – FBLA. We will be meeting Thursday September 21st in Mr. Bailey’s room #403. Students from all programs are encouraged to join FBLA in world domination. We also have cookies.

Teriyaki Chicken at Lunch

Don’t forget to get your teriyaki chicken during lunch on Wednesday for only $4! If you haven’t heard yet, the sauce is really yummy!

Bible Club

Bible Club at A-TECH is meeting this Wednesday after school in room 800. All are welcome to join us! This is a non-district sponsored club.

Congratulations National Merit Semifinalists

National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has announced the names of Semifinalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. This year A-TECH has seven students who have qualified as semifinalist in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. These seven students scored amongst the highest in the state of Nevada on the PSAT and represent less than 1% of each state’s high school seniors.

October 2017 is College Application Month

Governor Brian Sandoval has proclaimed October 2017 to be College Application Month. UNLV, UNR, and NSC have online applications for 2018-2019 available in October. Representatives from UNLV, UNR, and CSN will be on campus to assist you with the admissions and scholarship application process. Be sure to sign up for college visits as needed. If you have questions, stop by the College and Career Center in Room 202. UNLV has a very early Priority Scholarship Deadline of November 1st. Applications and FAFSAs must be completed and submitted by November 1st to be considered for many scholarship opportunities.
