Congratulations to Max Howald and Matthew Slomka for qualifying for the Southern Nevada Section of the 2012 National Chemistry Olympiad Exam.

During the first weekend of Spring Break; Michelle Chiu, Max Howald, Matthew Slomka, and Pavel Sorkin took the preliminary round exam. They competed against some of the top chemistry students in the Las Vegas area. Max Howald had the highest score of all participants.

Max and Matt will take the written and lab exams April 20 and 21 to qualify for the 20 spots on the National Chemistry Olympiad team.
